Garrett is based out of the Twin Cities area of central Minnesota, a short drive from tens of thousands of acres of public hunting land within Minnesota and its neighboring states. His passion is bow hunting whitetails, though chasing spring turkeys and fishing are not far behind. Learning to hunt public land successfully was a long and slow process. Garrett created the DIY Sportsman content platform as a way to share what he has learned over the years, do fun projects, and document his filmed hunts. Garrett feels an incredible amount of reward in being able to dive deep into an area with hundreds of miles of scouting potential and then trying to figure a deer out.
