Hunt With Us - Organizations We're Supporting

We are blown away by the support that everyone has given for this fundraiser and are proud to announce the organizations the donations will be going to.

 

The first organization is Living in the Green and The Devon Grube Memorial Scholarship Fund.

"The Devon Grube Memorial Scholarship Fund will award at least one $1,000 scholarship each year to a graduating senior from Cavalier High School. Devon graduated from Cavalier High School in 2000 and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from UND. Driven by his desire to serve his country following the attacks on September 11, 2001, Devon joined the Navy in 2005 and graduated with distinctive recognition as Honor Man of his Navy SEAL Class 267. His focus always remained on God, Family, Country and love for his home town of Cavalier. Devon died in December 2016. This memorial scholarship will be awarded each year to a Cavalier graduate based on their application and the following characteristics that Devon demonstrated and felt so important.

• Focus and determination with a strong work ethic
• Active involvement with a positive impact on the community
• Outstanding attendance
• Embracing a challenge and never giving up
• Leadership with humility"

 

The second organization is Hungry Heroes. 

"Hungry Heroes is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), with the mission to serve first responders, military, and veterans and show gratitude for their services through BBQ. Amanda Riggan founded Hungry Heroes in response to the tragic loss of an officer killed in the line of duty. Amanda believed that her community needed healing in the face of this loss, and what better way than to gather together and share a meal? Hungry Heroes has expanded to other communities throughout the United States who may be suffering loss or just want to show their appreciation to local first-responders and military personnel."
