What’s New in Hunt+: From Battlemap to Thermals on the Web

A good hunt plan brings the details together: where you’ll hunt, how you’ll get there, and what you’ve learned from time on the ground. The latest updates to Spartan Forge Hunt+ give you more ways to build that plan, organize your scouting information, and put it to use.

From Battlemap and faster My Content organization to redesigned field tools, CarPlay, and thermals on the web, here’s a look at what’s new.

Battlemap turns your map into a place to work through your strategy. Draw freehand, add arrows, and place text directly on the terrain to sketch an approach, lay out a deer drive, or mark the details of a planned stalk. Customize line styles, sizes, and colors to make your plan easy to follow, then access saved Battlemaps on mobile and web. Whether you’re planning at home or adjusting an idea in the field, you can keep that strategy connected to the ground. Explore Battlemap.

As your scouting information grows, finding the right details should stay simple. The updated My Content helps you sort through saved information and configure your map much faster. Use filters to narrow your view, find relevant content, and hide it in bulk. When several seasons of pins, tracks, and measurements start filling the screen, you can quickly bring the information for your next hunt into focus. See the updated My Content.

The new pin interface refreshes how you work with marked locations. The updated interface improves that everyday part of scouting and planning.

We’ve also updated the measurement interface and added measurement snapping to roads and trails. Snapping allows you to trace roads or trails to plan your routes into you hunting areas. Additionally, you can now change colors and line types of the measurements you create, giving you more capabilities in your content organization.

Once you’ve walked those routes, the updated track interface and track trimming give you more control over what you keep. Trim a recorded track to retain the portion you want to save, then review it alongside your pins and measurements. A scouting trip becomes a useful record you can revisit when planning your next approach.

Understanding a location goes beyond marking it. With map layers active, the Land Info data sheet brings location, property, and available layer information together when you select a spot. Review coordinates and elevation, explore available ownership and acreage details, and manage private property access records. Keep notes, photos, and access statuses connected to the property so useful details are there when you return. Explore the Land Info data sheet.

For hunters researching a larger area, hunt unit details add context to the boundaries on the map. Available unit information and regulation links help you investigate the areas you’re considering. Where supported, those details are also accessible through the Land Info sheet’s Active Layers view, keeping more of your research connected to the location. Learn about available layer information.

The updates extend to how and where you use Spartan Forge. CarPlay brings the map experience to compatible vehicle displays as you head toward your hunting ground. And on iOS, Liquid Glass support introduces a refreshed visual treatment to the app. Liquid Glass is available on iOS only. View the recent app updates.

And now, thermals are available on the web, bringing another part of hunt planning to your desktop. Study thermals alongside the terrain as you consider stand locations, access routes, and the areas you want to investigate further.

Put these updates to work on ground you already know. Revisit your observations, explore the land details, measure an approach, and sketch your next strategy with Battlemap. Hunt+ gives you more ways to turn the information you’ve gathered into a plan for your next hunt.
